All our resorts in Mexico and other parts of the world are free of single-use plastics since 2020. This action has seen us prevent about 25 tonnes of plastic from getting into the waters. We also advocate for responsible consumption of seafood because we are all about promoting a circular economy where all ecosystems can co-exist.
In an effort to help us make decisions based on facts, we’ve partnered with researchers and universities all over the world to help us find sustainable ways of protecting marine life. We have some of the largest coral reef labs where our guests also get to learn about responsible tourism. Come witness the second-largest coral reef in the world located just off the coast of Riviera Maya at Iberostar Paraiso Beach Resort.
